The stylized treatment of the face and figure is symbolic of how nothing in life is as it seems on the surface. There is always an untold story. She uses many layers of transparent paint to create the depth of color that represents the many personas of women today. These works are the result of intense and serious artistic exploration over the past thirteen years. Jeannie has participated in many juried shows and invitational exhibits.
Jeannie continues to live in Tulsa with her husband Hugh. Most days you will find her painting in her studio/gallery, a quaint bungalow located at 1628 S. Cincinnati she bought and renovated with her husband. Visitors are welcome.
Jeannie is a member of the Tulsa Artist Guild, Tulsa Artist Coalition and Oklahoma
